About the course

This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely and efficiently trim and cut felled trees using a chainsaw. Entry requirements

What to bring

To participate safely in this course, all participants are required to arrive with the following personal protective equipment (PPE) and items:

  • Steel-capped boots (mandatory)
  • Chainsaw-protective chaps or trousers (mandatory)
  • Hard hat with integrated face shield
  • Hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs)
  • Cut-resistant gloves
  • High-visibility vest
  • Long-sleeved shirt and long pants
  • Sunscreen and adequate water
  • Any required personal medication

Participants who do not arrive with the required PPE may be unable to take part in practical components of the course.
